Casting: Laura Peete, Associate Artistic Director—Theatre Under The Stars
[LULU] – Young Girl, to play 6 years old. Any ethnicity. Jenna’s daughter. A sweet, carefree child who appears in the last scene of the show. Should have excellent pitch and have a strong, simple voice. Should be shorter than 4’4” and younger than six years old.. MUST BE local to the Greater Houston area. Priority casting will be given to students currently enrolled or registered for a class/summer camp in HSMT Academy, River. We will be casting two actors to alternate shows, and serve as an u/s when not performing.
STIPEND
Weekly pay of $400.00
PREPARATION
Actor should make a tape no more than 2 minutes in length which includes all of the following:
–A slate of LULU candidate clearly saying their name, height, current home location and date of birth. This should also include a full body shot.
–Briefly talking about what they did this past summer.
–Telling us about their favorite movie, TV show or theatre production.
–Running and jumping into an adult’s arms (safely!)
TAPING INSTRUCTIONS
If you are using an iPhone to video record, please be sure to film horizontally and in a well-lit space (not backlit).
INSTRUCTIONS
Please send the video, along with a photo/resume (if they have a resume), in a downloadable format (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.). In the subject line, please type: “[Actor’s full name] – [TUTS LULU AUDITION]”. Please do NOT submit tapes to this e-mail address through a 3rd party website.
Rehearsals: Tuesday, April 15th
Performances: Wednesday, April 16th-April 27th
Venue: Theatre Under The Stars @ Hobby Center
Deadline: Thursday, February 27th. Possible invitations may be sent, for Saturday, March 8th.
