Which subscription is right for me?
- 6-show/full-season subscribers get the best value and experience. You’ll save the most, see every show of the season, and unlock exclusive perks like seat retention, subscription upgrades, and bonus gifts. With this option, you lock in the same seats for the entire season and can renew them year after year.
- Build-Your-Own subscribers enjoy ultimate flexibility. You choose 3 or more shows from the season, and for each one, you select your performance date and price level. Build Your Own subscribers do not retain seats into future seasons — you’ll start fresh each year when building your package.
Are all performances priced the same?
No. TUTS offers two pricing tiers:
- Value Performances — Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday evenings. These offer the biggest savings and some of the best seating options at lower prices.
- Premium Performances — Thursday through Saturday evenings and weekend matinees. These are our most popular performances and are priced a bit higher, though subscribers still enjoy great savings compared to single-ticket buyers.
Can I exchange my tickets if my plans change?
Yes. Subscribers may exchange tickets into another performance of the same production at no additional charge. If you move into a higher-priced seat or performance, you’ll simply pay the difference. For step-by-step instructions, visit the Subscriber Services page.
Can I swap into a different production if I can’t attend one?
Yes. 6-show subscribers receive one complimentary production swap per season, allowing you to trade into another show and even bring friends along (subject to availability). For details, see the Subscriber Services page.

How are TUTS shows different from Broadway Across America?
Both TUTS and Broadway Across America present performances at the Hobby Center, but the organizations are different:
- Broadway Across America is a for-profit enterprise, bringing national touring Broadway productions to 48 cities across the U.S.
- Theatre Under The Stars is a Houston-based non-profit, dedicated to enriching lives through innovative musical theatre, inclusive education, and dynamic community engagement. Our mainstage series is a mix of locally produced professional productions (created right here in Houston) and select Broadway tours — meaning you’ll see world-class shows at TUTS that you can’t see anywhere else.
Do TUTS Members (donors) receive additional benefits?
Yes! Members enjoy exclusive donor perks in addition to subscription benefits.
