Theatre Under the Stars

2 NEW MUSICALS IN 2 WEEKS!

BE IN THE ROOM WHERE IT HAPPENS

Every Broadway musical starts in a room. A room where writers, actors, and creatives, figure out how to build, connect, and translate a story to a stage that can reach millions. Join us as Theatre Under The Stars launches a New Works Series, catered towards high school and college bound actors interested in being a part of shaping a new musical development. Do you want to be in the room where it happens? It starts here, with Theatre Under The Stars New Works Series.

WHAT IS NEW WORK DEVELOPMENT?

The creative development stage of a new musical is critical for writers and composers to workshop their work with actors and have their work performed in front of a live audience. This provides a tangible space for discovery and develops resources to assist in building investor support for a regional or Broadway premiere.

What you can expect

Within each week, TUTS will workshop two pre-selected musicals in the development phase. These musicals will be selected by TUTS Artistic Staff out of a pool of submissions that reflect active and up and coming writers/composers of today. Each registered student actor will spend a week working on one of the two selected musicals which includes direction by a Broadway level creative team, participate in a demo recording, and a performance of the piece for casting directors, creatives, producers, media influencers, and parents.

(Each day of camp will run from 8am-5pm with the possibility of later call times depending on the needs of the show; daily programming subject to change)
