This summer, students of all abilities — including those with disabilities — will explore the rhythms, storytelling, and show-stopping energy of Broadway through our engaging one-week summer camps. These camps are designed to nurture creativity, confidence, and connection through music, movement, and art.

Class Dates: One-week camps throughout June and July
Location: The Metropolitan Multiservice Center, 1475 West Gray, Houston, TX
Tuition: $310 per student (Sessions 1-5)
Discounts: TUTS Subscribers save 10% (register using your subscription account)

Why Enroll?

A licensed nurse is present during all courses and camps to ensure students’ health and safety. If medication must be administered during class, please complete the Medical Treatment & Medication Form before the first session.

Camp Pop!

Get ready to turn up the volume and let your star power shine! At Camp Pop!, young performers will dive into the vibrant world of pop music, learning high-energy dance moves, catchy songs, and storytelling skills that sparkle. This camp is all about confidence, creativity, and FUN—perfect for kids who love to sing, dance, and express themselves in a theatrical way. By the end of the week, campers will hit the stage for show-stopping performances that are bursting with color, music, and excitement!

Kids Rule!

Step into the spotlight and unleash your inner star! At Kids Rule! summer camp, young performers will sing, dance, and act their way through empowering songs and scenes that celebrate courage, persistence, and fearless fun. Featuring high-energy hits from beloved musicals like Annie, Matilda, Bring It On, Newsies, and School of Rock, this camp is all about rising up, rocking out, and ruling the stage. Get ready for a week of creativity, confidence, and unforgettable performances—because at Kids Rule!, the stage belongs to YOU!

The Musical World of Disney!

At The Musical World of Disney, campers will sing, dance, and act their way through beloved Disney classics and Broadway favorites inspired by the magic of Disney. From enchanting princess ballads to high-energy showstoppers, this camp is all about bringing those iconic stories to life on stage. With plenty of sparkle, creativity, and imagination, your performer will feel like they’ve stepped right into a fairytale—ending the week with a magical performance that will make everyone believe in happily ever after!

July 6–10

Disco by Broadway!

Dust off your dancing shoes and get ready to disco the day away Finding inspiration from the musicals Mamma MiaThe Cher Show, Saturday Night Fever, and Priscilla, Queen of the Desert student performers will get their glitz and glam on. They’ll cap the camp off with a stage performance paying homage to all things disco.

July 13–17

ENSEMBLE img river

Brit Hits!

Student performers will be exploring the 1960s and the cultural phenomenon known as the British Invasion. Through their music campers will explore the tops bands and singers of that time. They’ll perform in a musical revue featuring classic rock bands The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who and many more.

Who can enroll in The River’s classes?
The River welcomes students of all abilities, including individuals with disabilities, typically ages 4 through adults.
Where do classes take place?
All spring classes are held in-person at the Metropolitan Multiservice Center, 1475 W Gray St, Houston, TX 77019.
Is medical support available?
Yes. A licensed nurse is on site during all in-person classes and camps. Families whose students require medication during class should complete the Medical Treatment & Medication Form prior to the session start.
Do students need to audition?
No auditions are required for The River’s classes and camps.
Is financial aid available?

Yes. Need-based and merit scholarships are available through the Scholarships page.

Are there attendance requirements?
Yes. Consistent attendance helps students grow artistically and socially. Families are asked to commit to regular, on-time participation.
Will students perform?
Yes! The River’s classes conclude with an end-of-session showcase, and students may also participate in the annual Inclusive Arts Showcase.
Are there opportunities beyond classes?
Yes. Students may audition for TUTS Mainstage productions and perform in the TUTS Performance Troupe.
