The 2016 River Celebration – Dream Out Loud honorary chairs, Robin and Danny Klase, along with event chair Michele Womack, welcomed 80 guests and committee members to a kick-off event for the River Celebration at their River Oaks home on Wednesday, June 1st. The guests were treated to summer fare bites provided by Phoenicia Catering, wine donated by Duchman Winery and given a special treat when River Performance Troupe member Abigail Yadan and HSMT student Kerry Sullivan performed two wonderful musical numbers together. This marks the 20th anniversary of The River providing arts enrichment for individuals with disabilities.
The 2016 River Celebration is scheduled for Thursday, October 27th at The Junior League of Houston and will honor founders Bob and Cathy Binstock. The annual Sammy Award will be given to Texans Head Coach Bill O’Brien and his wife Colleen in recognition of their advocacy for people with disabilities. The evening will feature a performance by the River Performance Troupe, culinary delights and a world-class silent and live auction.
