Elite Training for Aspiring Musical Theatre Professionals
TUTS Musical Theatre Academy offers a wide-range of Advanced Studio Classes for students who are ready to move into the next level of training. If your student thinks they would like to dive a little deeper into musical theatre or even pursue it as a career, Advanced Studio Classes at TUTS Academy are the perfect place to start.
Studio Classes are based on placement evaluations* which are detailed below.
Placement Evaluations
Placement Evaluations involve submitting materials that showcase a student’s talent and ability in dance, acting, or voice. Similar to an audition, Placement Evaluations must be submitted in the appropriate discipline for enrollment in Studio Classes only. Placement Evaluations may be submitted at any time and are reviewed on a rolling basis until the posted deadline.
If Studio-level placement is approved, a registration link will be sent to the parent, and the student may then register for the corresponding class for the upcoming semester.
If instructors determine that Studio-level placement is not suitable based on the evaluation, the parent will be notified and a Core Class in a similar discipline may be suggested. The student may enroll in any Core Class that aligns with their grade level and skill.
Fall classes take place September 14 – December 12.
The placement evaluation deadline for Fall is Monday, August 31. Registration for Fall is due by Monday, September 7.
*Please note The Academy Company year-long class requires an in-person audition. Information about how to audition can be found in the class description below.
