Houston Musical Theatre Classes for Students with Disabilities
TUTS Musical Theatre Academy offers Inclusive Arts Classes for individuals with disabilities through The River Inclusive School. Welcoming students ages 4 through young adulthood, our Inclusive Arts Classes provide adaptive support while building confidence, creativity, and performance skills in a fun, encouraging environment.
Fall classes take place September 14 – December 12.
The deadline to register for Inclusive Arts Classes is Monday, September 7.

- Inclusive, adaptive arts education tailored for the students with disabilities.
- Led by professional teaching artists trained to work with students of all abilities.
- Experience serving students with a wide range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Down syndrome, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and physical disabilities.
- A safe, welcoming environment supported by teaching assistants and a licensed nurse on site.
- Teaching assistants and volunteers who provide individualized support.

- A focus on creativity, confidence, and joy through the arts.
A licensed nurse is present at the River during all sessions to ensure students’ health and safety. If medication must be administered during class, please complete the Medical Treatment & Medication Form before the first session.

Art Spark: Ages 4 - 10
Art Spark is a supportive and creative class designed specifically for individuals with disabilities, focusing on self expression though visual art storytelling. The class emphasizes creativity, confidence, social connection, and celebrating each student’s unique abilities while fostering a love for the arts.
This class takes place on Saturdays from 9:50 – 10:35 AM at the West Gray campus.
Art Spark: Ages 11 - 17
Art Spark is a supportive and creative class designed specifically for individuals with disabilities, focusing on self expression though visual art storytelling. The class emphasizes creativity, confidence, social connection, and celebrating each student’s unique abilities while fostering a love for the arts.
This class takes place on Saturdays from 10:40 – 11:25 AM at the West Gray campus.

Dance & Shine is a joyful and inclusive class designed for individuals with disabilities, where movement and storytelling come together to spark creativity. Students explore stories through guided dance and expressive movement in a structured environment tailored to meet diverse needs and elebrating each participant’s unique way of shining on and off the stage.
This class takes place on Saturdays from 9 – 9:45 AM at the West Gray campus.

This class takes place on Saturdays from 10:40 – 11:25 AM at the West Gray campus.

Bring The Drama: Ages 11 - 25+
Get ready to play, laugh, and shine! This inclusive theater games class is all about building confidence, sparking creativity, and making new friends through fun, high-energy games and activities, strengthening social skills of self-expression, social interaction, and problem-solving along the way. Participants will be grouped with peers in similar age ranges based on enrollment.
This class takes place Saturdays from 12:20 – 1:05 PM at the West Gray campus.
