Theatre Under The Stars believes cost should never be a barrier to participation in the performing arts. Through our scholarship programs, we provide financial assistance to students so they can explore their creativity, grow their skills, and build confidence on stage and off.
Scholarships are available for classes, and select training programs offered by TUTS Musical Theatre Academy. For information about scholarships, email academy@tuts.org.
Scholarship Opportunities
TUTS Musical Theatre Academy offers scholarships for students in Core, Advanced Studio and Inclusive classes. These scholarships are awarded based on financial need and the availability of funds. Scholarships are offered for the Fall and Spring semesters, but not for summer camps.
For Advanced classes, scholarships would be open for application after the student has gone through the placement evaluation process.
If you are requesting scholarship assistance for both fall and spring classes, separate scholarship applications must be submitted for each term to meet accounting and record-keeping requirements.
How to Apply
To be considered for a scholarship, applicants must complete the application in full and submit all required documentation and supporting materials. All applications are reviewed confidentially by the TUTS Education staff. Awards are applied directly to program tuition.
Recipients are expected to maintain satisfactory attendance, as determined by TUTS Academy staff, for the duration of the scholarship period and attend classes for the entirety of the class session.
The remaining tuition balance must be paid according to the established payment schedule for students on a payment plan, or in full before the first day of classes for students not participating in a payment plan.

- August 31 – Fall scholarship notifications
- September 14 – First day of fall classes
- November 30 – Application deadline for spring semester
- December 15 – Spring scholarship notifications
- January 18 – First day of spring classes
