Rolethial McKelvey is a versatile and highly accomplished musician, known for her work as a collaborative pianist, dedicated piano teacher, and dynamic music director. As the owner of Rolethial the Pianist, LLC, she maintains a thriving career encompassing performance and education across the Houston area.
Currently, Rolethial serves as the Director of the Piano Program at Meyerland Performing and Visual Arts Middle School, shaping the next generation of pianists. Her collaborative skills are highly sought after, as demonstrated by her roles as collaborative pianist for The Voices of Houston, Houston Ebony Opera Guild, Galveston Heritage Chorale, and as the pianist at First Presbyterian Church of Conroe.
Her expertise as a music director and rehearsal pianist has been integral to several notable productions, including Rice University’s staging of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Queensbury Theatre’s Pippin, and HSPVA’s production of Raisin. She also served as a music director and pianist for Theatre Under The Stars’ 2023 Gala.
